The number "327" in white appears on the recto of the albumen print in the Nelson collection. The photograph is also titled on verso in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin.
Given the importance of the Port of Bushehr for maritime trade, the city attracted investment by foreign companies and governments. As such, the Port of Bushehr has been recognised as having some of Iran's earliest examples of modernist arquitecture.
