Karim Khan Amir Panj, Late 19th Century
A royal court photographer of Armenian origins during the Qajar period who was active from the 1870s. Having opened a commercial studio in Tehran in 1875, Papazian was subsequently awarded a royal medal (Shir-o Khorshid) by Naser al-Din Shah Qajar for the quality of his work.
