Charles Harvey Stileman (1863–1925) was an Anglican clergyman, who became the first Anglican Bishop of Persia from 1912 until 1917. Newton & Co attributed their series of 103 magic lantern slides titled “Persia” to Reverend C.H. Stileman. However, whilst the Reverend may well have been responsible for a meaningful number of the images concerned, some images were produced by other photographers of the time, such as Antoin Sevruguin.
