Two negative numbers “341” and “1238”in white ink appear on recto in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin. The numbers have been masked with darker ink. The numbers are also found in the same positions on the glass negative in the Smithsonian Institution.

Publications

A glass negative of the image is in the Myron Bement Smith Collection. FSA.A.04. National Museum of Asian Art Archives. Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.. and was a gift of Katherine Dennis Smith. The glass negative has a reference of FSA.A.04, Item FSA A.4 2.12.GN.43.10.

 

A 157 mm x 208 mm albumen print of this image is located in the Brooklyn Museum. The print was a purchase gift of Leona Soudavar in memory of Ahmad Soudavar, The print is titled: "Two Ladies and a Child Reposing in the Harem.".
