A glass lantern slide numbered 20 produced by Newton & Co which formed part of a series entitled "Persia" which consisted of 103 glass slides. The photographs were attributed to Reverend C. H. Stileman.
However, this photograph was taken by Antoin Sevruguin. A glass negative of this image is attributed to Antoin Sevruguin and resides in the Myron Bement Smith Collection: Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery Archives. Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. Gift of Katherine Dennis Smith, 1973-1985. The numbers 14 and 1133 appear on the glass plate image. No numbers are visible on the glass lantern slide.
