The number "488" in white appears on recto. The photograph has been titled "Soltaniyeh" on verso, in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin. The number "488" also appears in white ink on recto of the gelatin silver print of this image in the Nelson collection. However the number "829" also in white ink on recto and does not appear on the albumen print.

Titled "Soltaniyeh" and the number "488" in white also appears on recto. The building is a mausoleum built by Soltan Oljeitu in the beginning of the 14th Century AD.
