The numbers "61" and "1656" in white ink in what may be the hand of Antoin Sevruguin appears on recto in the same location as the glass negative held in the Myron Bement Smith Collection of Antoin Sevruguin Photographs held in the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery Archives. Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. As in the case of the glass negative, the number "1656" is scratached out.
