The number "221" in white ink appears on recto. The same number in the same location appears on the gelatin silver print of this image held in the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery Archives. in the Smithsonian Institution. However, whilst the scratched out number "51" in white ink is located on the gelatin silver print held in the Smithsonian Institution, it is not visible on the Nelson collection print, as the latter image has been cropped.
